Innoleaps Launches Unique Accelerator for Corporate Innovation in New York

Innoleaps, a company that brings the fast innovation methodologies typical of startups to established corporations, has launched a new program in New York. This is the first Innoleaps Corporate Accelerator in the U.S., targeting the North American market.

Startup veteran Mesut Celebi heads up the U.S. business as co-founder and CEO of Innoleaps USA.

Two large multinational corporations are sending product teams into the 13-week Innoleaps Accelerator program in New York. They apply startup best practices and methods to reduce innovation cycles from years to weeks.

“Perhaps no city in the world is more entrepreneurial than New York City. Leveraging that spirit and the strong startup culture here, we are helping corporations from the U.S. and abroad to learn new and faster ways to innovate, ultimately accelerating their time-to-market,” said Celebi.

Innoleaps Approach

The founders of Innoleaps, Ruud Hendriks and Patrick de Zeeuw, are pioneers in startup acceleration. They co-founded Startupbootcamp in 2010. With more than 500 startups accelerated, and programs in 17 cities globally, it is the largest accelerator outside the U.S.

Many large enterprises need to incorporate the lean innovation methodologies and an entrepreneurial culture within their own organizations to be able to keep up with the rapid pace of development these days. This comes with implications because corporates are great in the day-to-day execution but not set up for an evidence-based innovation.

“Large companies that want to innovate fast and furiously often make decisions based on a gut feeling or the person that has best presentation skills or the biggest new idea instead of looking at metrics, real customer validation or the team behind the new idea,” said De Zeeuw.

Innoleaps helps companies to transition from the traditional corporate-driven model to a customer-centric, market-driven approach that closely aligns to market needs introducing best practices from emerging new companies into more established corporations.

What sets Innoleaps apart is the talent that makes up the program -- entrepreneurs who have lived and experienced launching and building business first-hand, as opposed to consultants.

Among current clients of Innoleaps are Unilever, Philips, Rabobank, JDE, ABinbev, Athlon Carlease, NN, Vivat, Friesland Campina, ING Bank, PWC, Allen & Overy and Liberty Global.
