Community is an essential part of everyday existence and when it comes to giving back to the community, any action, big or small can make a real difference. For Eudy's Cabinets, acts of service for their community is one way to show their appreciation to the residents of the Carolinas for over 50 years of support.
For the last five years, Eudy's Cabinets has had the honor of being able to construct and donate cabinets to the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway in Charlotte, North Carolina. On October 17, 2019, WBTV announced the winners of the prizes in this year's St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway campaign. The winner of the Dream Home was Ricky Oliver of Charlotte, NC.
About St. Jude Children's Hospital
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, located in Memphis, Tennessee, is one of the world's premier pediatric cancer research centers. Its mission is to find cures for children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Since opening, childhood cancer survival rates have increased from 20% in 1962 to 80% today, and St. Jude has a goal of getting that number to 90% in the next decade. St. Jude changes lives of children every day, both with the treatment they provide at no cost to their patients and with the research they freely share with other hospitals all over the world.
How we got involved.
Jeff Newton, owner of Newton Custom Homes and Realty reached out to the folks at Eudy's Cabinets in 2014 after recently having worked with them on another project. Impressed by the quality of the work done, he told them about the opportunity to work with him and other donors to complete the dream home that would be given away. Being a company that is all about sharing their good fortune, they said "absolutely" and have been a part of the project every year. In a recent interview with Jeff Newton, he expressed that he now works with Eudy's Cabinets for all of his cabinetry needs outside of the St. Jude Dream Home project. He is looking forward to maintaining a positive relationship with Eudy's Cabinets and completing more projects with them.

Newton Custom Homes and Realty has been the builder for the Charlotte area St. Jude Dream Home since 2014.
Being involved.
The president of Eudy's Cabinets, Wesley Eudy, had the opportunity this year to travel to Memphis, Tennessee for the 2019 St. Jude Dream Home Builder Summit. He had the opportunity to take a tour around the facility and listen to amazing stories about patients and helpers. Giving back is an integral part of the culture at Eudy's and they are honored to have the opportunity to be a part of a project that changes the life of an individual. They look forward to next year's St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway Project.
