EARLY ALERT SYSTEM

The early alert and defence systems are specially developed for the protection of fixed bases and mobile patrols, because of their maintenance of a defensive reaction when facing a critical situation. Electronic alert system, constituted by 15 sensor units and one control unit fed by a solar cell.

Uses Used for the penetration of fixed bases as an early alert system. It allows the detection of enemy’s penetration through critical access pathways through a luminous and sonorous signal, minimizing a surprise intrusion and facilitating a timely reaction.

ANTI-EXPLOSIVE DEVICES EQUIPMENT

The equipment for explosive device deactivation has the aim to counteract the damage caused by the use of explosives by the terrorists. It is based on the principle of the rope hook system which consists in tubular sections that are joint in a mechanical way, easily armed whose main purpose is to increase the distance between the improvised explosive device and the technical staff in charge of its dismantling.

The purpose is to provide a greater safety distance between the explosive device and the operator, minimizing the caused damage by the detonations effect.

MICROCASTING

Science, technology and development, is the perfect gearing that leads towards the quantitative and qualitative improvement of all, widening horizons, of which Colombia’s Military Industry is thoroughly conscious about and in which should assume and important role.

Thinking on it, in 1990 was installed the first plant for microcasting, which constituted a true technological advance in the production of necessary products for the development of the country, not only assisting the national defense sector, but the private industrial sector in many different fields.

The operation of this new plant implies cost savings for the country, due to the substitution of imports, and contributes to the generation of direct and indirect employment, increasing participation in the gross national product and consequently on the national income.

What is Microcasting?
Microcasting is a production process of pieces sufficiently precise to satisfy design tolerances with little or without further machining. This provides greater flexibility in the development of prototypes as well as the normal production pieces.

This process is also known as “precision casting”, having a natural application in the production of pieces of low weight and intricate geometric form, thus reducing the post-machining costs.

The possibility of alloy selection including ferrous and non-ferrous metals, allows the access to more than 200 different options that are available without restriction. This combined with the appropriate heat treatment, will offer excellent mechanical properties to the produced pieces.
