ASTILLEROS CABRALES S.A. initiated its activities in 1946 by a diligent and enterprising carpenter named Salvador Cabrales Montijo. Over the years, he worked tirelessly to build over 600 commercial fishing trawlers for clients in Mexico and all over the world, namely Costa Rica, Indonesia, China, Surinam and North Africa. With time fishing boats grew in size, power and capacity, and the transition from wood to steel naval structures took off in the early seventies. Nowadays, ASTILLEROS CABRALES’ operations include the construction, maintenance and repair of naval structures relying on three key family members.
