CECOM was founded in 1964 in Rome. The company is specialized in high precision machining and in Ultra-High-Vacuum applications. Since the early 1980s CECOM has divided its work between the fields of scientific research and civil, military/aeronautics.
CECOM equipment includes the most up-to-date machineries for any kind of manufacturing: NC milling machines (3,4 and 5 axis), NC lathe machines and a wire-eroding machine. They are also equipped with several tools and facilities for assembling and testing purposes: TIG/Plasma welding machines, DEA CMM dimensional check machines, roughness meter, magnetic permeability meter, machines for hydraulic and electric tests. In their clean room the company can perform assembly and leak detection.
CECOM’s customers list in the Defence sector includes: Alenia Difesa; Avio; Elettronica Spa; Elettronica GMBH; Galileo Avionica; Magnaghi Areonautica; MBDA; SEI; Whitehead Alenia Sistemi Subacquei.
