The Department of Health and Aged Care (the Department) is seeking Tenders from high priority, national Clinical Quality Registries (CQRs) to participate in the National Clinical Quality Registry Program (referred to as Stream 1).

Stream 1 will provide operational support for a small number of existing CQRs that:

·         meet the definition of high priority (see full definition at Criteria 1 in the Statement of Requirement).

·         are national or have the potential to be expanded nationally.

·         have a core purpose to drive safety and quality improvement.

·         are cost shared with other partners.

This aligns with the principles of the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care’s Framework for Australian clinical quality registries (the CQR Framework) and the priorities the National Clinical Quality Registry and Virtual Strategy 2020-2030 (the National Strategy).

For the purposes of this Request for Tender (RFT), operational funding must be used to support the operations of existing CQRs as they work towards achieving their core purpose of driving safety and quality improvement e.g., funding may go towards staffing, IT infrastructure or technical support, or boosting data capture, analysis, and reporting activity, etc. It should not be used to create a brand-new registry.

The detailed specifications and requirements for the Services are set out at SCHEDULE 1  - Statement of Requirement.
