Samtel HAL Display Systems Ltd.

SAMTEL HAL DISPLAY SYSTEMS (SHDS) is a joint venture between Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and Samtel Avionics Ltd. (SA), and was created to address the avionics requirements for all HAL star platforms - both fixed and rotary wing. The JV was formed in 2006 as the first public-private partnership in the defence avionics sector.

The Samtel HAL JV achieved the unique distinction of being the first public-private partnership in defence avionics space in India to indigenously design, qualify and serial produce a multifunction display for induction on a fighter aircraft.
